Reaching Distant Targets with the Ranged Capability Proxy

Purpose

The Ranged Capability Proxy is the proxy block you use when the target you need to reach is not adjacent to where you can place a block. It is the distance-oriented variant of the proxy family.

Steps

1. Craft the Ranged Capability Proxy from its shaped recipe.

2. Place it so that it can reach the distant block or entity.

3. Interact with the placed proxy to access the capability at range.

Choosing the Right Proxy

Pick the proxy that matches both the target type and the distance:

• Capability Proxy — general block target, placed against it.
• Entity Capability Proxy — entity target, placed against it.
• Item Capability Proxy — item inventory target, placed against it.
• Ranged Capability Proxy — target you cannot place a proxy directly against.

If you can stand next to the target, the plain Capability Proxy, Entity Capability Proxy, or Item Capability Proxy is the simpler choice. Switch to the Ranged Capability Proxy only when adjacency is impossible.

All four blocks come from separate crafting recipes, so craft the Ranged Capability Proxy when distance is the problem and keep the others for close-range work.
