Moving Items with the Item Capability Proxy

When to Use It

The Item Capability Proxy is the proxy block for item-handling targets. Reach for it when the capability you want to expose or relay is an item inventory rather than a generic block or an entity.

Setup

1. Craft the Item Capability Proxy using its shaped recipe.

2. Place it against the inventory or item-handling block you want to work with.

3. Interact with the placed proxy to access that item capability.

Compare with the other proxies before you commit:

• Capability Proxy — general block target.
• Entity Capability Proxy — entity target.
• Item Capability Proxy — item inventory target.
• Ranged Capability Proxy — target at a distance.

If the container you want is out of reach and you cannot place a proxy directly against it, craft the Ranged Capability Proxy instead and use that to bridge the gap.

Because the mod defines only shaped and shapeless crafting recipes, every proxy is made at a crafting table. Craft the Item Capability Proxy whenever your task involves items; craft a different proxy only when the target type changes.
