Tan Leather and Craft a Leather Pouch

Running the Leather Tanner

Raw leather must be tanned before it becomes useful. Place a Leather Tanner block down and interact with it to process leather into Tanned Leather. The Leather Tanner is the only processing block in this mod, so every pouch and pack depends on it.

Making pouches and packs

Once you have Tanned Leather, craft a Leather Pouch for basic storage. For more capacity, upgrade to a Tanned Leather Pouch. Both are worn storage items — equip them and they hold items for you while you travel.

Larger packs

If you need more room, craft a Day Pack, a Camping Pack, or a Hiking Pack. These are the biggest storage options and are built from leather-tier materials. Work up the chain: tan leather, make a Leather Pouch, then a Tanned Leather Pouch, then move to a Day Pack, Camping Pack, or Hiking Pack depending on how much you carry. Keep the Leather Tanner near your base so you can process leather in bulk before a trip.
