How to Build and Pitch a Small Tent

Crafting the parts

A Small Tent is assembled from tent pieces, not placed as a single block. You need a Topped Tent Pole, Tent Sides, and a Tent Top. Tent pieces come in 16 colors (Black, Blue, Brown, Cyan, Gray, Green, Light Blue, Light Gray, Lime, Magenta, Orange, Pink, Purple, Red, and the remaining dye colors), so pick one color and craft every piece in that color so the tent matches.

Pitching it

1. Place the Topped Tent Pole first — it is the center anchor.

2. Attach Tent Side blocks around the pole to form the walls.

3. Cap the structure with a Tent Top. Use a Tent Top Flat if you want a lower, flatter roof profile.

4. Leave one side open as the entrance, or place a side and break it later to walk through.

Sleeping inside

Place a Sleeping Bag on the floor of the tent to set your spawn and skip the night. A Sleeping Bag is lighter than a bed and fits the tent footprint. If you want a larger shelter, build a Large Tent using the same colored pieces — it uses more Tent Sides and Tent Tops but covers more ground. Keep all pieces the same color; mixing colors works but looks mismatched.
