Enable Block Blending Overlays with Optifine

Prerequisites

Block blending overlays in BwW Resource Pack require Optifine to be installed and active. Without it, these special textures won't display.

Enabling Overlays

1. Launch Minecraft with Optifine installed

2. Go to Options → Video Settings

3. Look for Connected Textures or Fancy Graphics options and ensure they are enabled

4. Check that Resource Packs shows BwW Resource Pack as active in your load order

5. Return to the main menu and create or load a world

Seeing the Effect

Once enabled, blocks like concrete powder will display smooth blending where different colors meet. Sandstone will show enhanced texture variation across desert structures. The overlays create seamless transitions between adjacent blocks of different types, giving your builds a more cohesive, weathered appearance.

If you don't see blending effects, verify Optifine is running (check the title screen for the Optifine logo) and that Connected Textures isn't disabled in Video Settings.
