How to Craft and Use Honeycomb Bricks, Tiles, Doors and Trapdoors

Turning Honeycomb Into Building Blocks

Start with Honeycomb Bricks. Craft them from honeycomb in a crafting grid, then run them through a stonecutter to get the full family: Honeycomb Brick Slab, Honeycomb Brick Stairs, and Honeycomb Brick Wall. The same stonecutter step converts Honeycomb Bricks into Honeycomb Tiles, which in turn cut into Honeycomb Tile Slab, Honeycomb Tile Stairs, and Honeycomb Tile Wall.

For a smoother look, craft Chiseled Honeycomb Bricks separately — they are their own block and are not produced by cutting Honeycomb Bricks.

Doors and Trapdoors

Honeycomb Door and Honeycomb Trapdoor are crafted, not cut. Make them from honeycomb in a crafting grid the same way you would make a wooden door or trapdoor, then place them like any other door or trapdoor. They open and close normally and match the brick and tile palette.

Build Order That Saves Materials

1. Craft a stack of Honeycomb Bricks first.

2. Cut slabs and stairs from those bricks before cutting tiles — you keep the brick texture for walls and floors.

3. Cut the remainder into Honeycomb Tiles, then cut tile slabs, stairs, and walls from the tiles.

4. Add Chiseled Honeycomb Bricks as accent columns or trim.

5. Finish with Honeycomb Door and Honeycomb Trapdoor at entrances.

Because slabs, stairs, and walls come from the stonecutter, one brick block yields more shaped pieces than crafting each variant by hand. Keep a stonecutter next to your honeycomb storage so you can convert on demand instead of stockpiling every shape.
