How to Use the Building Gadget to Place Blocks

Setting the Mode and Block

Hold the Building Gadget and open its radial menu (default: hold the gadget's menu key). Choose a build mode — for example a line, wall, or cube-style placement. Set the range and the block you want to place. The gadget pulls matching blocks from your inventory.

Make sure the gadget is charged with Forge Energy before you start. An uncharged gadget will not place anything.

Placing and Adjusting

Aim at the block face where you want the structure to begin. The gadget shows a preview of the blocks it will place. Right-click to confirm and place them. The preview updates as you move your aim, so you can line the structure up before committing.

Useful steps:

1. Load the target block into your inventory in the quantity you need.

2. Open the gadget menu and pick the mode and dimensions.

3. Aim, check the preview, then right-click to place.

4. Scroll or use the menu to change range if the preview is too small or too large.

If you want to repeat an exact shape later, save it as a Template using the Template item, then manage saved templates with the Template Manager block. The Redprint stores a gadget's settings so you can copy that configuration to another gadget.
