How to Copy and Paste Builds with the Copy Paste Gadget

Copying a Structure

Hold the Copy Paste Gadget and open its menu. Choose the copy mode, then set the area you want to capture — the gadget previews the selection as you adjust it. Aim at the structure and confirm the copy. The gadget records the blocks in that region.

Charge the gadget with Forge Energy first; copying and pasting both consume power.

Pasting the Copy

Switch the gadget to paste mode. Aim at the spot where the new copy should go. The preview shows where the blocks will land. Right-click to paste. The gadget draws the required blocks from your inventory, so stock the materials it needs before pasting a large build.

If you want to move a build rather than duplicate it, use the Cut Paste Gadget instead: it removes the original blocks as it captures them, then pastes them at the new location.

To reuse a shape across sessions or share it, save the selection as a Template with the Template item, then open the Template Manager block to store, name, and load templates. The Redprint lets you copy a gadget's full configuration onto another gadget so both behave identically.
