Clearing Terrain with the Destruction Gadget

Hold the Destruction Gadget and open its menu. Set the mode and the area size you want to remove. Aim at the region and check the preview, then right-click to break the blocks in that area. The gadget consumes Forge Energy for each block destroyed, so charge it before large clears.

Use a small area first to confirm the preview matches what you intend to remove, then widen the range for bigger jobs.

Replacing Blocks with the Exchanging Gadget

Hold the Exchanging Gadget and open its menu. Choose the block you want to swap in, and set the area and mode. Aim at the region you want to change. The preview shows the replacement. Right-click to exchange the existing blocks for the chosen block.

The gadget needs the replacement block in your inventory and enough Forge Energy to cover the area. For a large swap, stock plenty of the target block and top up the charge first.

Both gadgets benefit from saved setups: use the Redprint to copy a gadget's configuration to another gadget, and use the Template item with the Template Manager block to save and reload shapes you reuse often.
