How to Charge the Building Gadget
Powering the Gadget
The Building Gadget, Copy Paste Gadget, Cut Paste Gadget, Destruction Gadget, and Exchanging Gadget all run on Forge Energy. To charge one, place it in any block or item that accepts Forge Energy and can output it to an item — a charging station, an energy-accepting machine, or a powered inventory block. Put the gadget in the charging slot and let it fill.
If you have no powered block yet, the simplest route is to craft a charger from your energy mod of choice, feed it power from a generator, and insert the gadget. The gadget's internal buffer holds the charge; once full, remove it and it is ready to use.
Checking Charge and Avoiding Downtime
While holding a gadget, look at its durability-style bar or the tooltip to see remaining Forge Energy. Every block placed, broken, copied, or exchanged drains a small amount. When the buffer empties, the gadget stops working until recharged.
Practical habits:
- Carry a spare charged gadget in your inventory so you can swap mid-build.
- Keep a charger near your build site, wired to your power source, so you can top up without walking home.
- Charge all five gadgets — Building Gadget, Copy Paste Gadget, Cut Paste Gadget, Destruction Gadget, and Exchanging Gadget — before a large project.
The Redprint, Template, and Template Manager do not need charging; they are configuration and storage items.
