Using the Building Gadget to Copy and Paste Structures

Copying a Structure

The Building Gadget lets you quickly duplicate builds without placing blocks manually. Hold the gadget and look at the structure you want to copy. Use the designated copy mode (usually right-click or a keybind) to select your target area. You can adjust the selection size using the gadget's settings.

Pasting Your Build

Once copied, move to where you want to place the duplicate. Switch to paste mode and position your cursor at the desired location. Confirm the placement, and the gadget will fill in all the blocks from your copied structure. This is especially useful for:

  • Creating symmetrical builds quickly
  • Duplicating decorative patterns across large areas
  • Backing up important structures
  • Building repetitive elements like fence lines or wall sections

Tips

The gadget consumes resources based on the number of blocks being placed. Make sure you have enough materials in your inventory or connected storage. You can rotate pasted structures before confirming placement, giving you flexibility in how you arrange your builds.
