Blocks That Have Stairs and Slabs

Many stone and mineral blocks in this mod come in full block, stair, and slab forms. The sets are: Amethyst Block with Amethyst Stairs and Amethyst Slab; Andesite with Andesite Stairs and Andesite Slab; Calcite with Calcite Stairs and Calcite Slab; Cobblestone with Cobblestone Stairs and Cobblestone Slab; Deepslate with Deepslate Stairs and Deepslate Slab; Diorite with Diorite Stairs and Diorite Slab; Dripstone with Dripstone Stairs and Dripstone Slab; Granite with Granite Stairs and Granite Slab; Prismarine with Prismarine Stairs and Prismarine Slab; Sandstone with Sandstone Stairs and Sandstone Slab; Tuff with Tuff Stairs and Tuff Slab; and Stone Bricks with Stone Brick Stairs and Stone Brick Slab. Bricks also have Brick Stairs and Brick Slab.

Turning Blocks into Stairs and Slabs

Start with the full block. For example, mine or craft Andesite, then use it in a crafting grid to produce Andesite Stairs and Andesite Slab. The same pattern applies to each set: Calcite becomes Calcite Stairs and Calcite Slab, Deepslate becomes Deepslate Stairs and Deepslate Slab, and so on. Because these are shaped recipes, arrange the source block in the standard stair and slab patterns.

Building Tips

Use slabs for ceilings, paths, and half-height trim, and stairs for roofs, steps, and corners. Mix a full block with its stair and slab variants to get smooth transitions. Keep a stack of the base block on hand so you can craft more stairs and slabs on site instead of carrying every variant.
