Crafting and Using Gilded Blackstone and Gilded Nether Bricks

The Gilded Blocks

Gilded Blackstone and Gilded Nether Bricks are decorative blocks for dark, ornate builds. They are distinct from the plain stone and wood families and have no stair or slab variants, so they are used as full blocks.

Where to Use Them

Use Gilded Blackstone for accents, pillars, and floor inlays where you want a dark block with a gold-flecked look. Use Gilded Nether Bricks for walls and larger surfaces, especially in nether-themed rooms. Because neither has stairs or slabs, build steps and edges from other materials. Stone Bricks with Stone Brick Stairs and Stone Brick Slab, or Deepslate with Deepslate Stairs and Deepslate Slab, make good structural partners.

Pairing with Wood

For a nether room, pair Gilded Nether Bricks with Crimson Planks or Warped Planks, and use the matching Crimson Furniture Kit or Warped Furniture Kit for furnishings. For an overworld build, pair Gilded Blackstone with Dark Oak Planks and a Dark Oak Furniture Kit for a darker palette.

Stocking Up

Keep a supply of both gilded blocks before starting a build, since they are used as full blocks and cannot be swapped for stairs or slabs. Reserve them for feature areas and use cheaper stone or wood variants for the bulk of the structure.
