Track and Review a Player's Punishment History

Viewing Complete Punishment Records

The Ban Hammer Plugin maintains a full database of every action taken against players. Use this to make informed decisions about repeat offenders and escalate punishments appropriately.

Checking History

Run the command /bh history <player> to display all past punishments for that player. The output shows:

  • Type of punishment (ban, kick, mute, jail, or warning)
  • Reason recorded at the time
  • Duration applied
  • Date and time of the action
  • Whether it was temporary or permanent

Using History Effectively

Before punishing someone, always check their history first. A player with multiple warnings should receive a longer ban than a first-time offender. If someone has been jailed repeatedly, consider an IP ban to prevent ban evasion.

You can also use /bh stats [player] to see a summary of how many times a specific player has been punished, helping you spot patterns of rule-breaking behavior.
