Set Up Custom Ban Presets for Different Rule Violations

Editing Your Presets

Custom ban presets let you quickly punish players for specific infractions without typing commands. Open your plugin configuration file and locate the presets: section.

Creating a New Preset

Each preset needs four key settings:

  • displayName: The name shown when cycling through options (e.g., "Spam Ban")
  • reason: The message logged and shown to the banned player
  • duration: How long the ban lasts (use formats like 1h, 7d, or permanent)
  • ipBan: Set to true to ban the player's IP address, or false for account-only bans
  • sound: The sound effect played when the hammer strikes (e.g., BLOCK_NOTE_BLOCK_PLING)

Example Setup

Add this under presets::

`

spam:

displayName: "Spam Ban"

reason: "Excessive chat spam"

duration: "3h"

ipBan: false

sound: "BLOCK_NOTE_BLOCK_BASS"

`

After editing, run /bh reload to apply changes. Hold Shift and right-click to cycle through your presets until you see your new one active.
