Troubleshoot Visual Glitches and Artifacts

Check for Banding or Color Stepping

If you notice visible color bands or unnatural transitions in lit areas, this often indicates a mismatch between shader settings and your GPU. Try adjusting color precision or dithering options in the shader menu if available.

Fix Flickering or Unstable Lighting

Flickering usually occurs when frame rate drops sharply. Reduce shadow quality or ambient occlusion (see performance guide) to stabilize lighting. Flickering can also happen if your GPU is overheating—check temperatures and ensure proper ventilation.

Address Overly Bright or Dark Spots

If certain areas appear washed out or too dark despite adjusting brightness, verify your monitor's gamma settings and in-game brightness slider. These work independently from shader settings.

Reset to Defaults

If visual problems persist after tweaking settings, look for a "Reset" or "Load Defaults" button in the shader configuration menu. This restores Bright Flow Lite's intended appearance.

Verify Compatibility

Ensure your graphics driver is up-to-date. Outdated drivers can cause rendering issues with shaders. Update through your GPU manufacturer's website.
