Optimize Performance on Low-End Hardware
Reduce Shadow Quality
Open shader settings and locate shadow-related options. Lowering shadow distance or resolution decreases GPU load significantly. This is often the biggest performance impact without sacrificing the colored lighting effect.
Disable or Lower Ambient Occlusion
Ambient occlusion adds subtle shadows in corners and crevices. Disabling it or reducing its intensity frees up processing power while keeping Bright Flow Lite's core colored lighting intact.
Adjust Render Distance Carefully
While not a shader setting, reducing your render distance in video settings works alongside the shader to maintain frame rates. Pair this with shader optimizations for best results.
Monitor Frame Rate
Use F3 (debug screen) to watch your FPS while adjusting settings. Make one change at a time so you know which settings impact performance most on your system.
Test in Different Environments
Check frame rates in caves (where lighting is most active), open sky, and indoors. This reveals which scenarios stress your hardware most, helping you prioritize which settings to adjust.
