How to Use Functional Flowers for Farming and Utility

Farming Flowers

Functional flowers perform tasks when supplied with mana. Place them near the area they affect and give them mana from a Mana Spreader or Mana Pool.

The Agricarnation speeds up crop growth in a radius. The Agricarnation Petite is a smaller version. The Bellethorne damages nearby mobs. The Bellethorne Petite is the smaller version. The Bubbell creates a water bubble that pushes mobs away. The Bubbell Petite is the smaller version.

Place these flowers on grass or dirt and aim a Mana Spreader at them. They consume mana as they work.

Utility Flowers

The Bergamute silences nearby sounds. The Animated Torch rotates when powered. The Cacophonium plays sounds when right-clicked. The Bergamute is useful for quieting noisy farms.

The Boreal Seeds plant a Boreal Seed that grows into a tree when given mana. Use them to grow wood without saplings.

Mana-Powered Tools

Several items use mana directly. The Mana Tablet stores mana and can be used to charge other items. The Band of Aura generates a small amount of mana passively. The Band of Mana stores mana.

The Assembly Halo automatically places blocks from your inventory when you build. The Black Hole Talisman stores items. The Biscuit of Totality feeds you when hungry.

Crafting Functional Flowers

Functional flowers are crafted with Petals and other ingredients. Use a Petal Apothecary filled with water, then drop in the required petals and ingredients. The recipe appears in the Lexica Botania. Each flower has a unique recipe, so check the book for exact ingredients.
