How to Craft and Use the Runic Altar

Building the Runic Altar

Craft the Runic Altar using Livingrock and a Mana Diamond. Place it down. To use it, throw the required items on top of the altar. The recipe will show in the Lexica Botania. Most runes require a combination of petals, mana, and other items. Once the items are placed, right-click the altar with a Wand of the Forest to start the crafting process. The altar will consume mana from a nearby Mana Pool.

Crafting Runes

Runes are essential for advanced Botania items. Each rune has a specific recipe. For example, the Rune of Water requires a Mana Pearl and other items. Place the items on the altar, then activate it. The altar will pull mana from a Mana Pool within range. If there is not enough mana, the process will not start. Once crafting is complete, the rune will pop out. You can automate the altar by using a Hopper to insert items and another to extract the rune. The Runic Altar is a key step toward crafting Terrasteel and other endgame materials.
