Update BoomLib Without Breaking Dependent Mods

Plan Your Update

When a new BoomLib version releases:

1. Check the mod descriptions of all your installed dependent mods.

2. Note their required BoomLib versions—they should match or be compatible.

3. Back up your mods folder before making changes.

Perform the Update

1. Remove the old BoomLib .jar file from your mods folder.

2. Download the new BoomLib version for your Minecraft version.

3. Place the new file in your mods folder.

4. Delete your crash-reports folder to clear old logs.

5. Launch Minecraft and let it fully load all mods.

6. Check the mod list to confirm BoomLib loaded successfully.

If Problems Occur

If dependent mods crash after updating:

• Restore your backup and use the older BoomLib version.

• Check mod changelogs for compatibility notes before updating.
