Optimize Bloom Performance with Sodium
Why Sodium + Blush Works Well
Blush is designed to run efficiently alongside Sodium and similar rendering optimizations. The bloom effect uses post-processing that doesn't conflict with Sodium's chunk rendering improvements.
Setup Steps
1. Install Sodium using your mod manager
2. Load Blush as a resource pack (not a mod)
3. Launch the game — both should load without conflicts
4. Open Sodium settings (Video Settings → Sodium Options)
5. Enable "Use Block Outline" and "Fancy Graphics" if they're disabled; these help bloom render correctly
Performance Tuning
- Reduce bloom radius in Blush settings if FPS drops below your target
- Lower render distance in Sodium if bloom causes lag at high distances
- Disable "Fancy Particles" in Sodium if bloom + particles cause stuttering
Expected Results
You should see smooth, steady glowing light sources without the flicker of vanilla lighting, while maintaining high frame rates. If bloom still causes issues, verify Sodium is fully updated.
