Enhance Sky Colors and Lighting Across Different Times of Day
Access Lighting and Sky Settings
In Shader Options, find controls for sky rendering and natural lighting. These settings work together to improve how the sky and ambient light change throughout the day cycle.
Adjust Sky Color Processing
The shader enhances sky colors during sunrise, noon, sunset, and night:
- Increase color saturation for more vibrant skies
- Adjust warmth to make sunsets more golden or sunrises more orange
- Control how quickly colors transition between times of day
Modify Natural Lighting Intensity
Natural lighting affects how warm or cool the overall world feels:
- Higher intensity makes the world feel brighter and more inviting
- Lower intensity creates moodier, more atmospheric lighting
Observe Changes Throughout a Day Cycle
The best way to evaluate these settings is to play through a full day. Watch how light hits blocks, how shadows shift, and how the sky transitions. Pay special attention to how your changes affect specific biomes—desert lighting differs from forest lighting.
Balance Aesthetics and Visibility
While enhanced lighting looks great, ensure you can still see clearly during night time and in caves. Adjust settings so the world looks beautiful without sacrificing visibility or gameplay.
