Setting Up a Base in the Blue Skies Dimension

Choosing a Spot

Pick a location close to your return portal. Distance makes it easy to get lost, and the portal is your only way home. Flat ground near the portal is ideal for building.

Essential Builds

Place a bed so you can set your spawn point. Build a chest for spare gear and a crafting table for on-site recipes. Bring a furnace to smelt anything you gather. These four blocks cover most early needs.

Gathering Local Resources

Explore outward from your base and note what the dimension provides. Bring back anything that looks like a crafting ingredient and test it in your crafting grid to see what recipes it unlocks. Keep a written list of coordinates for anything valuable you find.

Staying Safe

Light your base area so hostile mobs cannot spawn inside it. Keep your ignition item and portal frame materials in a chest at the base in case the portal deactivates. Do not wander far without food and a spare set of tools.

Expanding

Once your base is stable, branch out with a second outpost farther from the portal. Link the two with a marked path so you can travel between them without losing your way back.
