How to Reach the Blue Skies Dimension

Building the Portal

To travel to the Blue Skies dimension you must construct a portal frame and light it. Place your frame blocks in the standard portal shape, then activate the interior with the correct ignition item. Once lit, step into the portal to be transported.

What You Need First

Before you can build anything, gather the materials the frame requires. Check the recipe for the portal frame block in your crafting interface — the ingredients are listed there. You will also need the ignition item, which is crafted separately. Do not attempt to light the frame with a vanilla flint and steel; it will not work.

After You Arrive

Once through, the dimension has its own terrain, mobs, and resources. Set up a base near your return portal so you can find it again. Bring a bed, food, and spare tools, because the return trip requires the portal to remain lit. If the portal goes out, you will need another ignition item to relight it.

Returning Home

Step back into the portal on the Blue Skies side to return to the Overworld. Keep the frame intact on both ends. Breaking any frame block will deactivate the portal and force you to rebuild and relight it.
