Crafting Amethyst Blocks

Amethyst Bricks are decorative purple building blocks. Craft Amethyst Bricks at a crafting table, then use a stonecutter to make Amethyst Brick Slab, Amethyst Brick Stairs, and Amethyst Brick Wall. Amethyst Pillar is a vertical variant for columns and trim.

Lighting with Amethyst

Amethyst Lamp, Amethyst Lantern, and Amethyst Lantern Block are the light sources in this set. Craft them and place them as you would any lamp or lantern. Amethyst Lantern hangs like a standard lantern, while Amethyst Lantern Block is a full-block light. Amethyst Lamp works as a compact light source for walls and ceilings.

Building an Amethyst Room

Start with a floor of Amethyst Bricks and a border of Amethyst Brick Slab. Build walls from Amethyst Bricks and frame corners with Amethyst Pillar. Use Amethyst Brick Stairs for a raised platform or seating tier, and Amethyst Brick Wall for railings and low dividers. Hang Amethyst Lantern from the ceiling and set Amethyst Lantern Block into the floor or walls for even light. Place Amethyst Lamp where you want a brighter focal point. For contrast, mix in Blackstone Door and Blackstone Trapdoor, or Black Concrete Bricks and Black Concrete Pillar. Black Beveled Glass and Black Beveled Glass Pane make dark windows that frame the purple interior without washing it out.
