Crafting Timber Frames

Timber Frames are decorative structural blocks available in several wood types: Acacia Timber Frame, Birch Timber Frame, Bamboo Timber Frame, Acacia Cross Timber Frame, Acacia Diagonal Timber Frame, Birch Cross Timber Frame, Birch Diagonal Timber Frame, Bamboo Cross Timber Frame, and Bamboo Diagonal Timber Frame. Each variant is made from its matching wood type. Use a crafting table to combine planks and sticks into the frame pattern you want. Cross and Diagonal variants give you angled bracing looks for walls and ceilings.

Building with Timber Frames

Place Timber Frames as you would any full block. They work well as exposed wall panels, ceiling beams, and floor accents. Mix a straight Timber Frame with its Cross and Diagonal counterparts to fake structural joinery without using actual logs. Pair Acacia Timber Frame with Acacia Post for upright supports, or Birch Timber Frame with Birch Post for a lighter look. Bamboo Timber Frame suits tight, modern builds where you want thin framing lines. Because all variants are full blocks, you can stack them, run them in rows, or wrap them around corners. Combine them with Acacia Lattice, Birch Lattice, or Bamboo Lattice in window openings to keep the same wood theme. For flooring, alternate Timber Frames with Acacia Mosaic, Birch Mosaic, or their slabs and stairs to break up large flat surfaces.
