Protect Your Base from Repeated Explosions
Understanding Block Healing
Blocks damaged by explosions will naturally recover over time if left undisturbed. This means your base can survive multiple raid attempts without permanent damage, as long as attackers don't focus fire on the same spots repeatedly.
Setting Up Your Defense
1. Choose tough materials for your outer walls. Blocks like obsidian, deepslate, and reinforced stone take more hits to break completely, giving you time to respond to attacks.
2. Space out your structure with interior layers. Since blast damage decreases with distance from the explosion center, blocks further inside take less damage and heal faster.
3. Monitor healing speed by checking your server's gamerule settings. Use /gamerule tntblockdamagedecay true to enable automatic healing, or adjust the decay rate in your config file if healing feels too slow or fast.
4. Test your defenses by having a friend trigger small explosions near your walls. Watch how damage accumulates and how quickly blocks recover.
5. Adjust config values if needed. Increase block resistance values for materials you want extra protection on, or modify healing speed to match your server's raid difficulty.
