Destroy Tough Blocks with a TNT Cannon
Planning Your Attack
Unlike vanilla Minecraft, you can't destroy obsidian or other tough blocks with a single blast. Instead, you need to concentrate multiple explosions on the same target to accumulate enough damage.
Building and Operating Your Cannon
1. Design a repeating TNT cannon that fires projectiles at the same spot repeatedly. Redstone timing is crucial—space shots close enough that blocks don't heal between hits.
2. Aim carefully at your target wall. Blocks take more damage when closer to the blast center, so precision matters.
3. Fire in bursts rather than single shots. Watch for visible crack damage on the target block—this indicates accumulated blast damage.
4. Continue firing until the block breaks completely. Tougher materials require more consecutive hits without healing breaks.
5. Account for distance decay. Blocks at the edge of your cannon's blast radius take less damage per shot, so adjust your aim or cannon power if progress stalls.
6. Work quickly to prevent healing. If you pause too long between shots, damaged blocks will recover and you'll lose progress.
