Hide Specific Blocks from Fading
Using the Blacklist
If certain blocks fade when you don't want them to, add them to the blacklist to exclude them from the dithering effect.
Steps
1. Open the Block Dithering Mod settings menu in-game
2. Navigate to the Blacklist section
3. Add block identifiers using one of three formats:
- Exact ID:
minecraft:glass— hides only that specific block - Block tags:
#minecraft:flowers— hides all blocks tagged as flowers - Wildcards:
minecraft:*copper*— hides any block with "copper" in its name
4. Press Enter or confirm to save each entry
5. The changes apply immediately; walk near a blacklisted block to verify it no longer fades
Tips
- Use wildcards for large groups (e.g.,
minecraft:*glass*catches all glass variants) - Tags are useful for thematic groups like leaves, logs, or decorative blocks
- Check your mod's block ID list if you're unsure of exact names
- You can add multiple entries—each one is processed independently
