Adjust How Close You Need to Be Before Blocks Fade
Tuning Fade Distance
The fade distance slider controls how near you must stand to a block before the dithering effect activates.
Steps
1. Open the Block Dithering Mod settings menu
2. Locate the Fade Distance slider
3. Drag left to increase the distance (blocks fade from farther away)
4. Drag right to decrease the distance (blocks only fade when very close)
5. Walk toward a block to see the effect in real-time—no restart needed
6. Adjust until you find your preferred balance
Finding Your Sweet Spot
- Higher values (farther fade distance): Better visibility but more visual distraction from dithering
- Lower values (closer fade distance): Cleaner view until you're right on top of obstacles
- Test in different environments—caves, forests, and buildings may feel different
- Remember that fade distance is measured from your camera position, not your feet
Tips
- Start with a moderate setting and adjust based on gameplay feel
- Combine with Pixel Size adjustments for a polished look
