Viewing Colored and Dyed Armor Pieces
Obtain Base Armor Items
To see dyed 3D models, you first need the base items. Obtain wolf armor from armadillo scutes, or craft leather horse armor from leather. These items have custom 3D models in their default state.
Dye Your Armor
Use a dye of your choice on the armor piece. Place the armor and a dye together in a crafting grid or use a cauldron to change its color. The item will update to reflect the new dye color.
Inspect the 3D Model
Open your inventory and look at the dyed armor piece. The 3D model now displays in the color you applied—the custom model updates to show the dyed appearance, not just a flat recolored sprite.
Experiment with Multiple Colors
Try dyeing the same armor piece different colors to see how the 3D model changes each time. Wolf armor and leather horse armor both support multiple dye applications, so you can create custom color combinations.
Equip and Compare
Equip the dyed armor on a wolf or horse, then hold the matching dyed armor item in your hand. The 3D model in your inventory matches the appearance of the equipped gear, creating visual consistency between what you wear and what you carry.
