Comparing 3D Models to Placed Blocks

Craft or Obtain a Block

Start by crafting or finding a functional block that has a custom 3D model, such as an enchanting table, bell, armor stand, or cauldron. Keep it in your inventory.

Hold the Item and Observe

Look at the item in your hand or hotbar. The 3D model shows a miniature, detailed version of the block's structure—you'll see the same colors, textures, and proportions as the full-sized version.

Place the Block in the World

Place the block down in your world. Compare the placed block directly to the 3D model you just held. The inventory model is designed to match the world appearance, so the shapes, details, and visual features should align.

Test Multiple Blocks

Repeat this process with different blocks to see how accurately the models correspond. Functional blocks like enchanting tables and bells show particularly clear detail in their 3D forms.

Check Minecarts and Vehicles

For minecart variants, hold a chest minecart or hopper minecart in your hotbar, then place it on rails. The 3D model in your hand reflects the actual cart structure you see on the tracks, including cargo containers and mechanical details.
