Using Bombards for Ranged Explosive Mining

What a Bombard Does

Bombards are the ranged explosive launchers in the mod. The Bombard family includes: Bombard, Amethyst Bombard, Frost Bombard, and Slime Bombard. Each is crafted through a crafting recipe. A Bombard fires its explosive payload instead of being placed and lit like a standard Bomb.

Crafting and Firing

Craft the Bombard variant that matches the effect you want. Amethyst, Frost, and Slime Bombards each pair with their matching Bomb type, so the payload determines what the impact does. Once crafted, hold the Bombard and use it to launch the charge at the target.

When to Use Each

• Bombard: general-purpose ranged explosive for clearing blocks at a distance.
• Amethyst Bombard: ranged version of the Amethyst Bomb.
• Frost Bombard: ranged version of the Frost Bomb.
• Slime Bombard: ranged version of the Slime Bomb.

Practical Tips

Aim at the block face you want to break. Bombards let you stay outside the blast radius, which matters when the explosion is large. For mining, fire at a wall and let the blast open the tunnel. For combat or traps, fire from cover. Pair a Bombard with the matching Bomb in your inventory so you always have ammunition on hand.
