Making Gunpowder Blocks and Paint Blocks

Blast adds Gunpowder Block and a family of paint blocks you can craft and place: Folly Red Paint, Fresh Folly Red Paint, and Dried Folly Red Paint.

Gunpowder Block

Gunpowder Block is a placeable block made through the mod's crafting recipes. It stores gunpowder in block form, which is handy when you are stockpiling for a large demolition job instead of carrying loose gunpowder. Place it where you want it stored, or break it back down when you need the material.

Paint blocks

Folly Red Paint, Fresh Folly Red Paint, and Dried Folly Red Paint form a progression. Fresh Folly Red Paint is the wet stage, Folly Red Paint is the working stage, and Dried Folly Red Paint is the finished, set stage. Craft the paint you need, place it on the surface you want to mark, and let it move through the stages.

Using them together

Both Gunpowder Block and the paint blocks are decorative or utility blocks you place in the world rather than throw. Use Gunpowder Block to keep explosive material organized at a build site, and use the paint blocks to mark out where charges go, where a tunnel runs, or where a demolition line starts. Because the paint dries through its stages, place it early if you want the finished Dried Folly Red Paint look.
