How to Craft and Detonate a Basic Bomb

Crafting the Bomb

Start by obtaining Gunpowder Block. Use it in a crafting_shaped recipe to produce a Bomb. The Bomb is the base explosive that most other bombs build from.

If you want remote control instead of a fuse, craft a Trigger Bomb. The Trigger Bomb is the variant you detonate with the Remote Detonator.

Placing and Detonating

Place the Bomb or Trigger Bomb on the ground where you want the blast. For a Trigger Bomb, place a Remote Detonator nearby or hold it, then activate it to set off the Trigger Bomb.

If you only have a plain Bomb, it detonates on its own once placed. Clear the area first — the blast destroys blocks and can hurt you.

Scaling Up

Once the basic Bomb works, upgrade to material-specific bombs: Diamond Bomb, Golden Bomb, Pearl Bomb, Frost Bomb, Slime Bomb, Dirt Bomb, Amethyst Bomb, or Confetti Bomb. Each has a Trigger Bomb counterpart (Diamond Trigger Bomb, Golden Trigger Bomb, Pearl Trigger Bomb, Frost Trigger Bomb, Slime Trigger Bomb, Dirt Trigger Bomb, Amethyst Trigger Bomb, Confetti Trigger Bomb). Craft the one whose effect you need, place it, and detonate the same way.
