Troubleshoot Visual Artifacts or Flickering
Check Iris Compatibility
Flickering or visual glitches often stem from Iris loader version mismatches. Verify you're running a recent, stable Iris build compatible with your Minecraft version.
Reset Shader Settings
Corrupted or conflicting shader options can cause artifacts. Reset BitNixelet to default settings by finding the "Reset" or "Default" button in shader options, then reapply your preferences gradually.
Disable Conflicting Features
If specific visual elements flicker (water, shadows, sky), try disabling:
- Reflections – Often the culprit for water artifacts
- Volumetric Effects – Can cause banding or flickering in sky
- Shadow Filtering – May create temporal artifacts
Lower Shadow Distance
Flickering shadows often improve when shadow render distance is reduced. Test lower values to isolate the issue.
Verify GPU Drivers
Outdated graphics drivers can cause shader incompatibilities. Update your GPU drivers and restart Minecraft.
