Making Boats with Chests from Modded Wood Types

Which Woods Support Boats

Several wood types in this mod can be crafted into boats. The available options are Dead Boat, Empyreal Boat, Fir Boat, Hellbark Boat, Jacaranda Boat, and Magic Boat. Each of these also has a chest variant: Dead Boat with Chest, Empyreal Boat with Chest, Fir Boat with Chest, Hellbark Boat with Chest, Jacaranda Boat with Chest, and Magic Boat with Chest.

Crafting and Using Them

Craft a standard boat using the planks of the matching wood type — for example, Fir Planks for a Fir Boat. To make the chest version, combine the boat with a chest in a crafting recipe. The chest boat gives you mobile storage while traveling across water, which is useful when exploring rivers, oceans, or long coastlines. Because each boat matches its wood set, you can keep your transport consistent with your base. If you are building a dock, craft several boats in advance and store them near the water. The chest variants are especially handy for hauling materials between distant builds without making multiple trips. All six wood types follow the same recipe logic, so once you learn one, you can make any of the others.
