Turning Dead Logs into a Full Build Set

Start by collecting Dead Log and Dead Wood blocks from dead trees. Break Dead Log into Dead Planks using a crafting recipe, then use those planks to produce the rest of the set: Dead Slab, Dead Stairs, Dead Fence, Dead Fence Gate, Dead Door, Dead Trapdoor, Dead Button, and Dead Pressure Plate. Each of these is a shaped or shapeless crafting recipe made from Dead Planks, so craft a large batch of planks first and work through the list.

Signs, Shelves, and Storage

Dead Planks also feed into the sign and shelf family. Craft Dead Sign and Dead Wall Sign, then Dead Hanging Sign and Dead Wall Hanging Sign. Dead Shelf is crafted from Dead Planks as well and gives you a place to display items. If you want a mobile storage option, build a Dead Boat and a Dead Boat with Chest; both use Dead Planks in their recipes. Keep a stack of Dead Planks in your inventory while exploring so you can craft missing pieces on site. Because every Dead block in this set comes from the same plank base, one dead tree can supply an entire matching build, from floor slabs to a hanging sign over the door.
