How to Craft and Upgrade Cladded Armor

Cladded armor is a full four-piece set: Cladded Helmet, Cladded Chestplate, Cladded Leggings, and Cladded Boots. Each piece is made with a smithing_transform recipe.

Getting the Template and Materials

You need a Cladding Upgrade Smithing Template for every piece. Combine the template with a Block of Crude Cladding and the base armor piece at a smithing table. Crude Cladding is crafted into Block of Crude Cladding form before it can be used in the smithing recipe. Illunite is also part of the Cladded progression, so stock Block of Illunite alongside your Crude Cladding.

Smithing Each Piece

At the smithing table, place the Cladding Upgrade Smithing Template in the template slot, the Block of Crude Cladding in the addition slot, and the armor piece you are upgrading in the base slot. Repeat for helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots. Because there are four smithing_transform recipes tied to this set, plan on four templates and four blocks of Crude Cladding for a complete suit.

Wear the full set for consistent protection. If you run low on Crude Cladding, craft more blocks from the base material before heading to the smithing table so you can upgrade all four pieces in one session.
