Crafting and Using Cladded Armor

Getting the Materials

Cladded armor is made through smithing_transform. You need a Cladding Upgrade Smithing Template, a piece of base armor, and Crude Cladding. Crude Cladding is crafted from Crude Fragment. Combine Crude Fragments into Crude Cladding, then use the smithing table to apply the Cladding Upgrade Smithing Template to your armor. The four results are Cladded Helmet, Cladded Chestplate, Cladded Leggings, and Cladded Boots.

Crafting the Template and Cladding

If you do not have a Cladding Upgrade Smithing Template yet, check your recipe book for the exact grid once you obtain the ingredients. Crude Fragment is the key material; gather enough to make multiple Crude Cladding. Each armor piece consumes one template and one Crude Cladding in the smithing transform. You can also craft a Block of Crude Cladding for storage or decoration. Place it near your smithing table so you can see your stock at a glance.

Using Cladded Armor

Equip the Cladded Helmet, Cladded Chestplate, Cladded Leggings, and Cladded Boots in the normal armor slots. The set uses the same slot layout as any other armor. If you want matching decoration, place Cladded Stone around your base. Cladded Stone is a building block, not an armor material, so do not confuse it with the armor pieces. Keep spare Crude Cladding in a chest near your smithing table so you can reapply the template if you upgrade to a different base armor later.
