Cooking Crab, Glowfish, and Toad

Cooking Methods

Crab, Glowfish, and Toad can all be cooked. The cooked results are Cooked Crab, Cooked Glowfish, and Cooked Toad. You can cook them in a furnace using the smelting recipe, on a campfire using campfire_cooking, or in a smoker using smoking. The smoker is the fastest option for all three. Place the raw item in the top slot and fuel in the bottom slot, then wait for the cooked result.

Making Crab Chowder and Glowshroom Stew

Crab Chowder is a crafted food item. Check your recipe book for the exact grid once you have the ingredients. Glowshroom Stew is also craftable; it uses Glowshroom Stem Bricks or the glowshroom blocks in its recipe family. If you are gathering glowshrooms, keep the stems: Glowshroom Stem Bricks, Glowshroom Stem Brick Slab, Glowshroom Stem Brick Stairs, and Glowshroom Stem Brick Wall are all stonecut from the same material. Green Glowshroom Bricks and their slab, stairs, and wall variants come from green glowshrooms.

Stocking Your Kitchen

Cook a stack of each meat at once in a smoker to save fuel. Store Cooked Crab, Cooked Glowfish, and Cooked Toad in separate chests so you can grab the right food quickly. Craft Crab Chowder in batches and keep a bowl stack nearby. If you build a kitchen, use Dried Peat Bricks or Brown Mushroom Bricks for the counters; both have slab, stairs, and wall variants for detailing.
