Crafting Terracotta Bricks

Terracotta Bricks come in many colors. The registry includes Black Terracotta Bricks, Blue Terracotta Bricks, Brown Terracotta Bricks, Cyan Terracotta Bricks, Gray Terracotta Bricks, and Green Terracotta Bricks. Each color has a matching slab, stairs, and wall: for example Black Terracotta Brick Slab, Black Terracotta Brick Stairs, and Black Terracotta Brick Wall. Craft the base bricks first, then use the stonecutter for the slab, stairs, and wall variants. Stonecutting is the fastest way to get exact shapes without wasting blocks.

Planning a Build

Pick two or three colors and repeat them. Use the full bricks for walls, the slabs for floors and ceilings, the stairs for rooflines and steps, and the walls for railings and accents. For example, lay Blue Terracotta Brick Slab as a path, raise Blue Terracotta Brick Stairs along the edges, and cap posts with Blue Terracotta Brick Wall. Do the same with Green Terracotta Bricks for a garden wall. If you want a weathered accent, mix in Cracked Bricks, Cracked Brick Slab, Cracked Brick Stairs, and Cracked Brick Wall.

Combining with Other Blocks

Terracotta Bricks pair well with Dried Peat Bricks and Cracked Dried Peat Bricks for a warm, aged look. Use Dried Peat as a path filler between terracotta sections. For a darker contrast, use Blighted Stone Bricks or Blighted Cobblestone. Keep a stonecutter near your build site so you can convert leftover bricks into slabs and stairs on the spot.
