Gather Resources on the Island

Starting Your First Day

Leave the mansion and head to the trees on the island. Punch wood blocks until you have enough to craft a crafting table and wooden tools. This takes only a few minutes and gives you the basics needed to survive.

Mining and Collecting

Use your wooden pickaxe to mine stone and dirt around the island. Focus on collecting stone first—it's stronger than wood and will last longer for tools. Gather dirt in stacks; you'll need it for building or terraforming later.

Watching the Time

Keep an eye on the sky. When the sun starts to set and the sky turns orange, head back inside immediately. Mobs spawn at night, and even with the mansion's protection, it's safer to be indoors.

Expanding Your Resources

Once you have stone tools, you can mine iron ore if it's exposed on the island. Each trip outside should have a goal—collect wood, then stone, then look for ore. Return to base before dark every time.
