Using Tracking Snowballs to Hit Moving Targets
Choosing a Tracking Snowball
Tracking snowballs home in on a target after release. Pick based on what you want to hit:
- Light Player Tracking Snowball — fast, low damage, homes on players.
- Heavy Player Tracking Snowball — slower, heavier hit, homes on players.
- Light Monster Tracking Snowball — homes on hostile mobs.
- Heavy Monster Tracking Snowball — heavier monster-seeking variant.
- Explosive Player Tracking Snowball / Explosive Monster Tracking Snowball — detonate on contact with the tracked target.
Marking a Target
Hold a Target Locator and right-click a player or mob to lock it in. The next tracking snowball you throw will curve toward that entity. Re-mark a new target to switch. If no target is marked, tracking snowballs fly straight.
Throwing Technique
Lead the throw slightly even with tracking active; the projectile corrects course but still needs line of sight at launch. Throw from behind cover, then step out — the snowball will arc around minor obstacles. Combine with the Glove or Jedi Glove to increase throw speed and range. For area denial, use Explosive Monster Tracking Snowball against a mob cluster; the blast catches nearby enemies that were not individually marked.
Counters
Targets can break line of sight to defeat tracking. Reposition, re-mark with the Target Locator, and throw again. The Vector Inversion Anchor reverses incoming projectile direction, so avoid throwing directly at a player carrying one.
