Configure Custom Despawn Times for Your World

Access the Configuration File

Locate the mod's configuration file in your game directory. This file controls how long dropped items remain on the ground before disappearing.

Edit Despawn Duration

Open the configuration file with a text editor and find the despawn timer setting. Increase the value to make items stay longer—useful if you're far from your drop point or exploring dangerous areas. Decrease it if you want faster cleanup and less lag from accumulated items.

Apply Your Changes

Save the file and restart your game or reload the world for changes to take effect. Your new despawn duration will apply to all dropped items going forward.

Tips for Configuration

• Long explorations: Set a higher duration so you don't lose loot if you're far from base
• Multiplayer servers: Coordinate with other players to avoid disputes over item timing
• Performance: Shorter timers reduce lag from ground clutter
• Testing: Make small adjustments and test in-game to find your ideal timing

The color indicator will still show you the countdown, helping you prioritize recovery even with custom timers.
