Fix Missing or Broken Character Animations

Check Your Dependencies

Better Expressions requires two mods to function properly: Entity Model Features and Entity Texture Features. If your character appears invisible, has a broken model, or animations aren't loading, these dependencies are likely missing.

1. Check your mods folder to confirm both mods are installed

2. Ensure they are compatible with your Minecraft version

3. Restart the game completely after adding them

Verify Resource Pack Activation

Even with dependencies installed, the pack won't work if it's not active.

1. Open your world or create a new one

2. Press Esc and go to Settings → Resource Packs

3. Look for "Better Expressions" in the inactive packs list

4. Click the arrow to move it to the active side

5. Confirm the change and reload your world

If the pack still doesn't appear in your resource packs list, try placing it directly in your .minecraft/resourcepacks folder and restart the launcher.

Your character should now display blinking eyes and smooth animations.
