Choosing the Right Upgrade for Your Crate

Identify your crate tier first

Before crafting anything, check which crate you have: §fWooden crate, §fCopper crate, §fTin crate, §fIron crate, §fGolden crate, §fDiamond crate, or §fObsidian crate. The upgrade you need depends entirely on the crate in front of you.

Upgrade-to-crate reference

• §fWooden crate → Copper upgrade
• §fCopper crate → Tin upgrade
• §fTin crate → Iron upgrade
• §fIron crate → Golden upgrade
• §fGolden crate → Diamond upgrade
• §fDiamond crate → Obsidian upgrade
• §fObsidian crate → no further upgrade exists

Combined upgrades give you alternatives:

• §fCopper crate → Copper/Golden upgrade
• §fTin crate → Tin/Golden upgrade
• §fIron crate → Iron/Golden upgrade

Each combined upgrade lands you on §fGolden crate, letting you skip the intermediate tiers between the source crate and Golden.

All upgrades are applied through crafting_shaped recipes. Place the crate and the matching upgrade in the crafting grid to convert the crate to the next tier. If nothing happens, the upgrade does not match the crate you are using — swap to the correct upgrade for that tier.
