Beyond biome variants, the Better Blazes Resource Pack includes special themed versions that add visual diversity to blaze encounters.

Chained Blazes: These blazes appear with chains or restraint-like details attached to their bodies, giving them an industrial or captive appearance. They blend the fiery nature of blazes with a more constructed aesthetic. Look for these variants mixed among regular biome-specific blazes—they're rarer encounters that add visual interest to combat.

Piglin-Themed Blazes: These variants incorporate design elements inspired by piglins, creating a crossover aesthetic. They help blazes feel more integrated into the Nether's diverse mob ecosystem and suggest a connection between different Nether inhabitants.

Encounter Them Naturally

Both variants spawn randomly throughout the Nether alongside standard biome-specific blazes. You don't need to do anything special to encounter them—simply explore different Nether biomes and you'll eventually see these unique versions. The random variation system ensures that repeated blaze encounters feel fresh and visually distinct each time.

These special variants are purely visual and don't affect blaze behavior or combat mechanics.
