How to Craft a Bedrock Pickaxe

Gather the Materials

A Bedrock Pickaxe is the core tool of this mod, and it is made through a smithing_transform recipe rather than a normal crafting grid. You need a Bedrock Chunk as the main ingredient, plus a template and a base tool to transform. Bedrock Chunks are the mod's raw material and are also used across most of the other recipes, so collect several before you start.

Perform the Smithing Transform

Place the smithing template in the template slot, the base tool in the base slot, and the Bedrock Chunk in the addition slot of a smithing table. The result is a Bedrock Pickaxe. Because this is a smithing recipe, you cannot make it on a normal crafting table — a smithing table is required.

Once you have the pickaxe, you can mine and place the mod's bedrock-based building blocks. Use it to break down Bedrock Chunks into the decorative variants below, and keep it on you whenever you work with Polished Bedrock or Polished Bedrock Bricks so you can adjust shapes on the fly.
