Compact Storage Blocks

Compact Deepslate and Compact Obsidian are the mod's dense storage blocks. They are crafted on a crafting table by combining the base material in a compact arrangement, giving you a way to store large amounts of deepslate or obsidian in a single block.

Where They Fit in a Build

Both blocks are solid and dark, which makes them natural companions to the bedrock palette. Use Compact Obsidian as a floor or pillar core where you want a near-black surface, and Compact Deepslate as a contrasting grey band between Polished Bedrock sections.

Because they are compact storage, they also serve a practical purpose: if you are mining deepslate or obsidian in bulk, convert stacks into compact blocks to free up inventory space, then break them back down when you need the raw material.

Pair them with the bedrock shape family for texture variety. A wall of Polished Bedrock Bricks with a Compact Deepslate base course and Compact Obsidian corner posts reads as a single deliberate structure rather than a mix of unrelated blocks. Keep some Bedrock Chunks nearby so you can cut matching slabs and stairs on a stonecutter as the build grows.
